Soon to Be Chelsea Manager until the End of the Premier League Season, Frank Lampard Boyong Ashley Cole

Frank Lampard has chosen his right-hand men if he is appointed by Chelsea as caretaker manager until the end of the 2022/2023 Premier League season. Who will he bring?

A number of British media, including The Athletic, reported that Chelsea would soon choose Lampard to become interim coach after sacking Graham Potter.

Chelsea will not be looking for a definitive replacement for Potter who was sacked last week because the team nicknamed The Blues has given Lampard a second trust.

Lampard has handled Chelsea for two years in 2019-2021. However, the 44-year-old architect was kicked out because management was dissatisfied with the achievements of the Blues.

Lampard has prepared three assistants at Chelsea. The three are Ashley Cole, Joe Edwards, and Chris Jones.

Ashley Cole is a Chelsea legend who made 337 appearances for the Blues. He was also Lampard’s assistant when he coached Everton before being sacked in January 2023.

Coach Ashley Cole’s new career is as old as corn. Previously, the 42-year-old former left wing-back coached the Chelsea youth team in 2019-2022 and was assistant coach for the England U-21 national team in 2021.

Meanwhile, Edwards and Jones have been loyal to Lampard when he was still polishing Chelsea and Everton.

Lampard was in the Stamford Bridge stands when Chelsea drew with Liverpool 0-0 in the postponement of the eighth week of the Premier League on Wednesday (5/4/2023) early morning WIB.

In his first period coaching Chelsea, Lampard led in 84 matches with the acquisition of 44 wins, 15 draws and 25 defeats by an average of 1.75 points.

Lampard’s debut with Chelsea has the opportunity to occur when challenging the hosts Wolverhampton Wanderers in Week 30 of the Premier League at Molineux Stadium on Saturday (8/4/2023).

Previously, Chelsea were said to be targeting Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann as Potter’s successors. However, the attitude of the Blues actually changed 180 degrees.
